Looking for an interesting event to draw people into your venue?
Everybody always asks me what it was like to be on set when we filmed my book adaptation, The Ghost Trap, in Maine in 2022, and the aftermath of the award-winning feature film, from red carpets to interviews. I do a Powerpoint presentation that delves into the Midcoast locations where we filmed, how Spruce Head lobstermen were the backbone to the film, and what it was like to watch a movie unfold in real time. My latest book delves into the Midcoast Maine's history in the 1920s, including hidden speakeasies, Maine lobstermen, and rumrunners, as well as the Irish folklore and mythical selkies (seals that can shapeshift into humans) in Penobscot Bay. I have both a formal Powerpoint author talk (ideal for libraries, bookstores, and venues that have a projector and screen) as well as an informal author chats on the same topic, perfect for "Sip n' Signs" and "Books n' Brews" with breweries, wineries, distilleries and restaurant event spaces.
